“Silent Migrant”

Silent Migrant is an immersive VR installation that follows a wooden mannequin figure as it drifts through liminal spaces of migration—airports, customs lines, airplanes, and empty waiting rooms. The mannequin acts as a digital stand-in for the immigrant body, suspended between departure and arrival, memory and adaptation. Through body-tracking and motion-capture animation, the figure’s gestures convey disorientation, resilience, and the quiet persistence of identity in transit.

Rendered in Blender using 360° animation, the work invites viewers to inhabit the perspective of a displaced self navigating bureaucratic and emotional thresholds. The project reflects my ongoing exploration of how digital environments can reimagine the migrant experience—merging personal memory with virtual space.
